Copper in chelated form as bisglycinate – an organically bound and well-absorbed form in which the copper is bound to the amino acid glycine. Each small, easy-to-swallow tablet provides 2.5 mg of copper, and one tablet a day is enough.

Copper is a trace element that occurs naturally in small amounts in foods such as shellfish, nuts, seeds and wholegrains. In this supplement the copper is supplied in chelated form as bisglycinate – 2.5 mg per tablet.
According to EFSA, copper contributes to the normal function of the immune system, to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, to normal energy-yielding metabolism, to normal hair and skin pigmentation and to the maintenance of normal connective tissue.

“Chelated” means the mineral is bound to an organic molecule, in this case the amino acid glycine – hence the name bisglycinate. The form is used for its stability and because the mineral binding can be controlled well.
The tablets are small and easy to swallow, and are packed in dark glass that protects the contents from light, air and moisture.
