About Solgar Ginger Root

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is one of the world’s most widely used spice plants, with a long tradition in both cooking and herbalism. Here you get the root in two forms: 500 mg of ground, dried root plus 5 mg of concentrated 4:1 extract per capsule.

The difference between powder and extract is the concentration: the powder is the whole dried root, while the 4:1 extract contains certain components at a higher concentration. The supplement is not a straight replacement for fresh ginger – fresh root also contains moisture and volatile oils that are partly lost in drying.

Ginger in two forms – ground root for the whole and a 4:1 extract for concentration: 500 mg of ginger powder per capsule, complemented with a concentrated 4:1 extract, flexible dosing – 1–3 capsules per day and up to 100 days’ supply per jar.

The product is entirely plant-based, capsule included, and easy to dose through the day.
