Annatto-E® 300 contains 300 mg of pure tocotrienols (the delta and gamma forms) from annatto seed – a less common form of vitamin E. Free from tocopherols, which can work against the absorption of tocotrienols.
About tocotrienols
Vitamin E is a family of eight compounds divided into two groups: tocopherols and tocotrienols. Most vitamin E supplements on the market contain only alpha-tocopherol, but Annatto-E® 300 instead contains tocotrienols, with an emphasis on the delta and gamma forms. These are the delta and gamma forms. Annatto-E® 300 uses DeltaGold®, a patented tocotrienol extract from annatto seed (Bixa orellana) that contains 100% tocotrienols and 0% tocopherols.

That the product is entirely tocopherol-free is a deliberate design detail. Alpha-tocopherol in large amounts competes with tocotrienols for uptake, which is why this formula leaves it out entirely. By leaving out all tocopherols, Annatto-E® 300 delivers the tocotrienols in their purest form.
Tocotrienols and tocopherols are the two families that make up vitamin E. Most vitamin E supplements contain only tocopherols; Annatto-E® 300 is the reverse, delivering tocotrienols from annatto seed with the tocopherols removed, since the two compete for the same uptake.

What is the difference between tocotrienols and tocopherols?
Both are forms of vitamin E but have different chemical structures. Tocotrienols have an unsaturated side chain that makes them more mobile within cell membranes, while tocopherols (particularly alpha-tocopherol) are the form found in most supplements.
