About ubiquinol and geranylgeraniol
CoQ10 is a cofactor in the body’s mitochondrial energy production. It exists in two forms: ubiquinone (the oxidised form) and ubiquinol (the reduced form). The body converts between the two, and the proportion held as ubiquinol falls with age. Geranylgeraniol sits in the same biosynthetic pathway the body uses to make CoQ10. GG-Gold® comes from annatto seed and is a patented ingredient from American River Nutrition.
