Product Details
Lineage Air-Dried Steak Spicy Southwest
Whole strips of grass-fed beef, air-dried over five to seven days and seasoned with organic jalapeño and chipotle. The peppers are deseeded, so the heat comes out round rather than sharp. Sixteen grams of protein and 90 calories per oz.
About Lineage Air-Dried Steak Spicy Southwest
The heat in chilli sits largely in the seeds, along with the lectins that mean spicy food often lingers in the stomach. By deseeding both the jalapeño and the chipotle, Lineage produces a warmth that builds slowly and stays comfortable.

The spices are organic, non-irradiated and steam-sterilised. Irradiation is standard in the food industry, but it breaks down both flavour compounds and antioxidants, so steam is used here instead.
Underneath the seasoning sits the same base as in Classic: whole strips of grass-fed beef, organic apple cider vinegar and salt, slowly air-dried over five to seven days.
The heat is judged so that you can eat several pieces in a row without it burning. If you want the same meat without the heat, there is Classic.

What is the difference between air-dried steak and beef sticks?
Air-dried steak is whole strips of muscle meat, while beef sticks are minced meat in a casing. The steak has a chewier texture and contains no organs.
How is the meat dried?
Slowly with air over five to seven days at low temperature. That differs from jerky, which is often dehydrated quickly at higher heat and therefore comes out harder.
Does it need refrigerating?
No. The air-dried steak keeps at room temperature. Store it in a dry, cool place.
Where does the meat come from?
Lineage Air-Dried Steak Spicy Southwest comes from regenerative farms in Australia and the USA, where the animals graze year-round.
How much protein does Lineage Air-Dried Steak Spicy Southwest contain?
Sixteen grams of protein per oz, that is per 28 grams, at 90 calories. A whole 113 gram bag contains four servings.
How hot is it?
Medium hot. Because the peppers are deseeded, the heat is round rather than sharp, and it settles fairly quickly.

About Lineage Provisions
Lineage Provisions is an American brand that builds its entire range on raw materials from grass-fed, regeneratively raised animals. The thinking behind the company is simple: make products from what the animal actually consists of, rather than breaking raw materials down and putting them back together.

The range runs from beef sticks and air-dried steak to protein powder, collagen, creatine, tallow, coffee and raw honey. What they all share is the same requirement of the raw material: animals grazing year-round, verified by a third party rather than by the supplier itself.
The products are developed by Dr. Paul Saladino and Dr. Anthony Gustin, and every batch is tested for contaminants with certificates of analysis published openly.
